Welcome to Ojala Studio.
My studio is located in Arroyo Seco, New Mexico. Named the "Jewel of Taos", Arroyo Seco is a small village in the mountains here in Northern New Mexico. On the way up to the nearby, legendary Taos Ski Valley .....it is a charming and historic location offering galleries, restaurants, shops and or course, my studio which is open by appointment.
I teach workshops to both adults and children. I have been teaching many art forms since 1979. My studio is an old classroom in the WPA era section of the old school house in the village. It is currently the Community Center for our area. i share the building with several other artists and craftspeople. It is an ideal spot to spend a day or an afternoon learning new techniques and understanding materials that will enhance your creative experience. I use an intuitive approach to open you to new possibilities for self expression. Many of the adult classes have been centered around exploring the book arts. I offer new mediums and ways to express your theme or ideas. Collage is also an element in developing and idea or simply enjoying a new process.
The kids classes are about fun and experimenting with new materials to develop a theme and work on a project such as a simple book. It is a great way to let your child have a unique and rewarding experience while you ski, hike, shop or wander.......
